Charity Auction 2024 for the benefit of Friedensdorf International

Bidding for beautifully shaped design products and doing good at the same time – this opportunity is offered by the Red Dot Design Museum to all those interested on the second Sunday of Advent (Sunday, 8 December 2024). At the charity auction coveted design objects will change hands. All products were submitted for the Red Dot Design Award and provided by the manufacturers free of charge for a good cause. Now they will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. Some products will start at a price of just one euro.
The tickets for the auction – and thus the bidder cards – will be allocated by lottery. Those interested can register for the draw until 1 December 2024. More information: www.red-dot-design-museum.org.
Helping the weakest: Proceeds go to Friedensdorf International Oberhausen
With its annual charity auction, the Red Dot Design Museum, together with companies and visitors, wants to contribute to alleviating the suffering of children in crisis and war regions, at least in individual cases. To this end, it donates all proceeds from the auction of design objects as well as the participants' entrance fees to the Friedensdorf International in Oberhausen. Last year, proceeds of almost 15,000 euros were achieved in this way.
The Friedensdorf International helps sick and injured children in war and crisis zones by bringing them to Europe for short-term medical treatment. In addition, the Friedensdorf works to improve medical and humanitarian care in the children's home countries. This work is financed almost exclusively by donations and membership fees (DZI donation seal).

More than 100 design products will be auctioned off
A wide range of high-quality design products will be available for auction at the benefit event. These include strollers and
children's furniture as well as loudspeakers, tools, cooking utensils, lamps and chairs. An overview of the products can be found online at the museum's website.
Prior registration required for the lottery
Registration for the auction places is now possible at www.red-dot-design-museum.de. The number of participants is limited to 120 bidders. The draw will take place on 2 December 2024. The winners will be notified in writing. Unconfirmed places will be raffled again.

Admission: Auction participants must also pay the normal admission price to enter the museum. 100 percent of the proceeds will also be donated to Friedensdorf International.
