Professional event 7 December 2025 | 14:00
Bid on beautifully designed products and do some good at the same time – the Red Dot Design Museum is offering this opportunity to all interested parties on the second Sunday of Advent (7 December 2025). For the thirteenth time, the museum is organising this charity auction, where coveted design objects will go under the hammer. All products were submitted to the Red Dot Design Award and provided free of charge by the manufacturers for a good cause. Now they will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Some products will start at a starting price of just £1.
The range of high-quality design products that can be purchased at the charity event is extensive. It includes prams and children's furniture as well as loudspeakers, tools, cooking utensils, lamps and chairs. We will publish the list of products here on 17 November.
Helping the most vulnerable: proceeds go to Friedensdorf International Oberhausen
With its annual charity auction, the Red Dot Design Museum, together with companies and visitors, aims to help alleviate the suffering of children in crisis and war regions, at least on a case-by-case basis. To this end, it donates all proceeds from the auction of design objects and the admission fees of the participants to Friedensdorf International in Oberhausen. Last year, this generated proceeds of almost €15,000.
Friedensdorf International helps sick and injured children in war and crisis zones by bringing them to Europe for short-term medical treatment. In addition, Friedensdorf International works to improve medical and humanitarian care in the children's home countries. This work is financed almost exclusively by donations and membership fees (DZI donation seal). More information: www.friedensdorf.de
