Over the past ten years, Dutch firm Philips has used design to realign the group to become a leading health tech company. The Philips Experience Design Team led by Sean Carney has played a key role in this transformation process. The team implements the ideas and solutions for the healthcare sector using a close blend of technology and design. The design process is focused less on the individual product and more on integrated solutions centred around the patient and user experience. The result is well-designed devices that are intuitive to use and that have already won distinctions in the Red Dot Design Award on several occasions. This year, the Philips Experience Design Team led by Sean Carney has also won the honorary title of “Red Dot: Design Team of the Year 2022” in recognition of the team’s overall design achievement.
The Philips Experience Design Team has created its own exhibition, which is on show on the ground floor. In the creative atmosphere of a design studio, video sequences, concept sketches and products give an insight into the team and its work.
