Special exhibition 23 October 2020 – 24 May 2021
Until May 24, 2021 the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen is showing award-winning communication design from around the world in the exhibition "Winners Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2020".
From books and games to commercials, posters and apps, from brand and corporate design to packaging: Visitors to the exhibition experience the various facets of outstanding communication design. All of the works presented in the exhibition were awarded at the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2020.
A decentralised exhibition
A special feature of the exhibition is that it is not located at a central point in the museum. Instead, visitors encounter the communication design works at various points during their tour of the museum. One focus of the exhibition presentation is on Level 1, including packaging design and the presentation of the Red Dot: Agency of the Year 2020.
Both the type of presentation and the range of works on display move in the area of tension between analog, digital and interactive. All award-winning works with texts, links and information can also be found in the online exhibition at www.red-dot.org.
