The tour through the Red Dot Design Museum starts in the "Fundamenthalle" on level 0 with a kind of design educational trail. This is an introduction to the basic design principles, which are illustrated by means of exemplary products. It is about "Form follows function" and "Form follows emotion", for example, but also about the dominant form, the execution, new materials as well as smart products that are part of systems in the Big Data environment. Thus prepared, visitors can set out to explore the other four levels and examine the design exhibits themselves.
