On Sunday, 2 September 2018, design fans go on a journey of discovery in the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary product design. From 3–4:30 p.m., the public guided tour of the Red Dot Design Museum Essen informs about latest industrial design, product culture and the fascinating architecture of the house.
The one hour and a half tour of the former boiler house of Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex allows for interesting insights into the world of well-shaped and sophisticated designs. Chic lifestyle accessories, innovative kitchen helpers or well-shaped luminaires – around 2,000 exhibits from 45 nations convey the excellent quality of good design. Touching the products is for many exhibits explicitly allowed since good design becomes especially apparent in use.
