On 26 and 27 September 2015, UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein celebrates the huge colliery festival for the 26th time. Again, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen contributes to the broad programme of the industrial culture landscape: young and old visitors can look forward to two free guided tours: on Sunday, 28 September, from 11 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and from 1 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. The guided tours of the world’s largest design exhibition provide insights into creative achievements from about 45 countries. Moreover, the admission fee is reduced (4 Euro) during the whole weekend, for children under 12 it is free.
Design lovers and all those who want to become it can learn a lot about the latest trends in the various fields of international product design at close range. From jewellery and accessories to furniture to entertaining gadgets – between old bricks and rusty steel beams 2,000 innovative and well-shaped exhibits wait for being discovered.
