"FACE:DESIGN" by Mutabor (Red Dot: Agency of the Year 2013)

Special exhibition
18 December 2013
until 02 February 2014

Since mid-November, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen is presenting the special exhibition “Selected works of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2013”. From 18 December 2013, the house will grant further exciting insights into the fascinating world of communication design: Mutabor, the most successful agency of the year 2013, presents itself with the room installation “FACE:DESIGN” which will be on show in the former boiler house of Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex until 2 February 2014.

Are you ready to change? This is the question the owner-operated agency Mutabor from Hamburg, Germany, again and again asks their clients. Staying true to themselves, Johannes Plass and Heinrich Paravicini have been consulting international companies for 20 years. Focused on the vision of change, the design company makes marketing history and stories. Therefore, Mutabor was presented with the honourary title “Red Dot: Agency of the Year 2013” and thus received the coveted challenge cup “Stylus”.

Now, Mutabor is showcasing its room installation “FACE:DESIGN”  in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. It presents a selection of Mutabor’s award-winning works in a unique way. The agency asks visitors of their exhibition to literally face design and its various facets. Therefore, the creative agency has created eight wall-sized design faces which can be discovered in several dimensions: at a first glance visually and at a second interactively – since every face supports a story which visitors can experience cinematically on their smartphones.
