On Sunday, 8 December 2019, visitors to the Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany will be invited to purchase well-designed objects at auction while doing a good deed at the same time. For the ninth time already, the museum is organising the popular charity auction, giving visitors the opportunity to pick up design objects at bargain prices. Numerous well-designed pieces will be auctioned off at a starting price of 1 euro. Like every year, the proceeds will be donated in full to a good cause, and in 2019 this is once again the Friedensdorf International Oberhausen (Peace Village International) organisation.
As a personal design highlight or as an uncommon Christmas presents for one’s nearest and dearest: The selection of high-class design products includes among others furniture, tableware, consumer electronics, lamps, household appliances or lifestyle accessories which will go under the hammer during the charity event.
The possibility to register will only be available here approximately two weeks before the auction. Of course, we will also be happy to inform you in good time with our newsletter about the time at which online registration is possible.
