From Australia to the Netherlands to Vietnam – products from around the world are a guest of the Red Dot Design Museum Essen on the grounds of the Zollverein World Heritage Site in Essen, Germany, from 12 July 2019.
On show are objects from various fields of everyday life, which received a distinction for their design excellence in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019, among these are furniture and lamps, sports equipment and bicycles, toys and baby equipment, vehicles, robots and drones - and of course many products form the fields of computers, smartphones, entertainment technology. In order to assure themselves of the objects’ excellent quality, visitors are invited to touch and test many of them.
The best designs, which were granted the highest award in the competition, the Red Dot: Best of the Best, are shown in a separate exhibition: “Milestones in Contemporary Design 2019”.

The Red Dot Design Museum is open to the public again. Opening hours: Tuesdays to Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, special protection rules apply. For example, the wearing of a face mask is obligatory.
