1,315 products by designers and manufacturers from around the world: With the exhibition “Design on Stage”, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents the winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014. From avant-garde consumer electronics to elaborate household items to ergonomic furniture: All of the exhibits have been evaluated by 40 international design experts during a several days lasting process before being awarded the sought-after Red Dot. In its origins, the quality seal has been awarded since 1955. It decorates only products which fascinated the expert jury with outstanding functionality, a high degree of innovation and a balanced form language.

In the midst of inspiring industrial architecture, visitors experience the top achievements of the competition’s 23 categories for the first time on three floors. The products which received the highest distinction “Red Dot: Best of the Best” will be staged in the museum’s imposing White Hall. Portraits of the designers who created the outstanding products as well as of the jury members complete the winners’ exhibition. A special place is occupied by the presentation of the Red Dot: Design Team of the Year: With “People Driven”, Veryday from Sweden grants insights in the companies user-oriented design approach.
